PSY 105 - Introduction to Human Services

Introduction to Human Services is a survey course that examines human services. The course will review (1) themes and purpose of human services, (2) dual focus of client and helper, (3) management principles, (4) professional roles, and (5) professional activities. In addition, the course will cover basic techniques in the area of safety and well being that have to be understood and utilized when working with a population of physically and mentally challenged individuals. Students who received credit for PSY 103 (Safety and Well Being) prior to Summer term 2007 will not receive credit for PSY 105 (Introduction to Human Services).
No prerequisities
