This course introduces the student to HTML tools, Rich Internet Applications, using cascading style sheets to render in mobile and tablet, web content management systems and XML. The course also looks at the need to develop a strategy for Web Site organization and design.

Prerequisite: CIP 170 or CIP 170A and CIP 170B. This course introduces the student to HTML tools, Rich Internet Applications, using cascading style sheets to render in mobile and tablet, web content management systems and XML. The course also looks at the need to develop a strategy for Web Site organization and design.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student shall be able to: A. Create responsive web pages using HTML and cascading style sheets. B. Develop and Embed Rich Internet Applications within a web page. C. Develop a strategy for web site organization and navigation. D. Explain current W3C standards and the importance of keeping current on standards. E. Explore popular web content management systems such as Wordpress, Joomia, and/or Drupal and create dynamic web sites. F. Demonstrate a knowledge of the different markup languages and their appropriate use.
