BUSN 242 - Principles of Supervision
Course deals with the responsibilities of the supervisor or foreman in the industrial and administrative environment. Leadership qualities, human relations skills, motivation, communication, training techniques, and problem of the work group are discussed.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student shall be able to: A. Identify the role and contributions of first-line supervisors in the workplace. B. Explain major strategies for applying supervisory principles in the workplace. C. Recognize the importance and/or role of communication in carrying out supervisory duties. D. Demonstrate the appropriate use of principles of motivation. E. Recognize the importance of the supervisor in setting up and maintaining a positive work environment. F. Recognize the important of meeting and dealing with employees' concerns in the work place.
