AG 239 - Crop and Soil Evaluation 4
Provides students an opportunity to gain experience in evaluating crops and soils. Selection will be based on marketing and/or production standards. A continuation of AG 238.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student shall be able to: A. Determine slope percentages of land using an abney level and/or Philadelphia rod. B. Determine land classes of various tracts of land. C. Calculate internal drainage of various soils. D. Determine percent residue cover on various soils. E. Perform a texture by feel and determining the approximate percentages of sand, silt and clay in a given soil.
