FSC 182 - Fire Service Incident Manager

The intent of this class is to introduce the fire officer to a comprehensive overview of scene management. Here we will not focus on the ICS system or on tactics and strategy, but rather on an integration of these processes and their application to real-world situations. There are seven sections in this class. First there is reviewing the ICS system and application, followed by fire ground situations in which tactics are applied within the framework of the ICS system. The course culminates in a review of safety concerns and resource management. To pass the course the student must complete a comprehensive final exam and a practical exam in which they command a fire scenario.
