ECE 110 - Intro to Early Childhood Education
Designed to familiarize students with the current philosophy of early childhood education, guidance techniques, classroom design, early childhood education teacher responsibilities, strategies for home-center collaboration, and the curriculum in early childhood education settings. Students will review the different types of child care arrangements in the United States, including infant/toddler and school-age programs. Federal laws, licensing and regulatory requirements for programs serving children birth to 12 are covered. The history of educating children birth to 12 will be addressed.
Eligible for ENG 097 or higher
