ACCT 105 - Elements of Accounting
Introduces students to basic accounting principles and procedures as they are applied to accounting for service and merchandising businesses. Includes the recording of transactions in gerneral and special journals, the posting process, adjusting and closing entries and the preparation of accounting worksheets and financial statements. Continuous, open enrollment.
Web access through an ISP, current web browser/Netscape 4.7 or Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher recommended.
There are two non-cumulative closed-book examinations. There are numerous self-scoring practice exams available among the course resources to help students prepare for the scored exam. In addition, students may take one repeat examination over the same content. The highest score earned will be recorded. The exams are multiple-choice format and are both computational and conceptual. Students are required to work online homework problems.
