CIS 180 - Introduction to Internet
This introductory level course is designed to equip the student with the necessary tools to navigate through the network of computers comprising the Internet. It will cover a brief history and description of the Internet, focusing on the World Wide Web and communication components. Students will examine and configure popular web browsers. Introductory level security issues will be addressed, including firewalls and content restriction. Finally, students will explore Web 2.0 tools and discuss how they might be incorporated into a website.
